Griffith was returned for Caernarvon Boroughs in 1685, doubtless as a Tory, his father being incapacitated by age and infirmity, but left no trace on the records of James II’s Parliament. He was noted as dead in the Welsh returns to the questions on the repeal of the Test Act and Penal Laws in 1687. His sons sat successively for the county from 1713 to 1740.
